To view your new fees effective 01/01/2019, enter the date in the appropriate field:
VSP no longer accepts requests for updating Usual and Customary fees. We can obtain your U&C fees through the claims that you submit to VSP. This process allows us to have your most recent U&C fees on file.
To remove doctors from your office, please send written notice including their name, NPI number, and effective date to: Providernetworkdevelopment@vsp.com. If a doctor can’t be located with the information provided, please provide VSP with your office address, phone number, and/or NPI2 number so that I can locate your account and route your question to the appropriate representative.
The VSP Member’s out-of-network eligibility and reimbursement schedule will be provided directly to the member unless otherwise required by applicable regulations. Ask the VSP Member to call Member Services at 800.877.7195 and speak with a Customer Service Representative to verify their out-of-network information.

Thank you for your interest in becoming a VSP® Vision Care network doctor. VSP has been in business for over 60 years and is the largest provider of eyecare and wellness benefits—providing eyecare benefits to more than 60 million members nationwide. Because your time is valuable, we recommend that you review the summary of VSP network participation requirements listed below before proceeding with your application:
Ophthalmologists and Optometrists who have a majority ownership of their practice and dispensary, either individually or shared ownership with other OD's or MD's (a minimum of 51%). Optometrists must be TPA certified (Exceptions applicable to Texas and Puerto Rico). Ophthalmologists must be board certified or must become board certified within three years of post-residency or post-fellowship (Board scheduling letter will be accepted).
All doctors must be registered on CAQH (Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare).
All VSP services must be provided by a network doctor at a qualified office location. Each office location and doctor connected to the applicant doctor must be credentialed by VSP and meet network participation criteria.
The dispensary must be within the same office, and must have a minimum of 200 frames, of which 100 must be priced at $150 retail or less. The dispensary must dispense glasses and contact lenses.
Owner doctors must provide routine vision care services a minimum of eight (8) hours per week in a combination of no more than two offices. Each office location must be staffed and open at least 16 hours per week. We do not have hour requirements for employee doctors.
Doctors must have an NPI number and provide documentation showing he/she is a Medicare provider or in the process of becoming a Medicare provider.
Each office must have 24-hour emergency access through voicemail, cell phone, pager, or on-call network.
Doctors must each, individually carry professional liability insurance coverage at a minimum level of $1,000,000/occurrence; $3,000,000/aggregate (Professional liability limits may vary in certain states due to state regulations).
Each practice must have internet access to submit claims electronically and provide a valid e-mail address to receive communications from VSP.
Each practice must be able to receive claim payment electronically, via direct deposit.
If you feel your practice meets the above criteria, please go to vsp.com and click on the Become a VSP Provider link at the bottom left of the page under the heading About VSP or use this link. Fill out the form and a recruiter will contact you to start the credentialing process.
The address that populated when you registered for the website is the address VSP has on file for your tax ID. To update the address, visit VSPOnline on eyefinity.com and select Practice/Doctor Updates.
On the Login page, select Forgot User ID, then enter your name and the email address you registered with to get your User ID. Or call 888.867.8867, press 2, and a Vision Benefits Advisor will assist you.
On the Login page, select Forgot Password, then enter your User ID and email address to reset your password.
Log in to vspglobal.com/signon, and click on My Account. Enter your new email address, and click Update My Account. You can also update your password if necessary.

The VSP Individual Vision Plans Doctor Program is designed to offer additional opportunities to retain patients and earn more revenue. By sharing ads on your website and/or Facebook page, you’ll receive an advertising payment when your patient clicks and lands on the application page of MyVSPPlan.com. VSP Premier Edge Practices at the Gold and Platinum levels earn $8 advertising payments. All other network practices earn $5.

The vsp.com link is for those who have vision insurance with VSP and need to review their benefits. The ads for the VSP Individual Plans Doctor Program are for patients who don’t have vision insurance and are looking for affordable care for themselves and/or their family.
Practices are paid their advertising payments for inquiries (online and phone) with a Tango® gift card sent to the email address they signed up with. For additional questions about the payment process, email us and we’ll contact with you directly.
Yes. Advertising payments are not dependent on your patient enrolling. Once your patient clicks on your unique link and lands on the application page of MyVSPPlan.com, you’ll receive the advertising payment.
Your practice can sign up for the VSP Individual Plans Doctor Program. However, individual doctors within your practice cannot sign up separately.
While it's ideal to have a website, you can still participate in the program through Facebook via the social sharing icon on your dashboard. If you don't have a personal practice website, consider setting one up through eyefinity.com via the eWeb tab. Once your site is up, if you’re a practice participating in the VSP Vision Premier Program, you can access the tips provided by My Marketing Team to amplify your website presence.
VSP Individual Plans offer the same great coverage as employer- sponsored plans. The difference is, it’s vision coverage your patients can buy on their own. VSP Individual Plan members receive:

Instant Enrollment allows your uninsured patients to enroll in an Individual Plan (IP) by going online or calling 855.926.8877. Patients can receive services on the same business day if they choose the current month enrollment option.
Yes. Your practice will receive an advertising payment when a patient calls to ask about a VSP Individual Plan and provides your practice’s name. The patient does not have to purchase a plan for you to receive the advertising payment; however, your practice must be enrolled in the VSP Individual Vision Plans Doctor Program to receive the payment via email.
Yes, instant enrollment is available online. Patients can sign up for an Individual Plan through your practice’s IP website ad or IP Facebook post and their vision coverage will go into effect immediately. Prior to this change, patients had to wait one business day before their coverage went into effect if they enrolled online.
Practices earn the same advertising payment whether a patient clicks on the practice's website ad and lands on the application page or calls and mentions the practice's name. VSP Premier Edge Practices at the Gold and Platinum levels earn $8 advertising payments. All other network practices earn $5.
