2. Consistency is key

  • Get PUNny. Eye health is serious business, but it’s important to have fun on social, too. Spread the message of eye health while adding clever eye puns into your writing. Emojis can enhance your message as well.  
  • Proofread. Have someone read your content before you publish or use free online editing tools like the Hemmingway App and Grammarly. Both programs can detect grammar issues and help improve readability.  
  • Cut to the chase. Ask a quick question, make a short statement, or share a link to get your message across quickly. 

 
4. Attract new followers with hashtags
Posting hashtags in your captions is an easy way to attract new followers on Instagram and Facebook. A hashtag is a word or phrase that begins with the pound sign (or “hash” mark) to identify and track related posts on social media. 

Hashtags can help shape your brand image, spark conversations for trending topics, and reach your target audience(s) in your local community. 
 
Hashtag 101: 

  • Post timely hashtags. Download a hashtag calendar (here’s an example) to help build your monthly social content.  
  • Keep it local. Always remember to hashtag your city, neighborhood, or airport code so new patients know where to find you.

5. Plan ahead
